Menu bar items are missing or will not move
Snug needs Accessibility to see and arrange your menu bar. In Snug’s Settings, open Menu Bar Layout: if Accessibility is off, it says so, and Open Accessibility Settings takes you to the switch.
- It is already on and nothing moves. In that list in System Settings, remove Snug with the minus button and add it again. An entry left from an earlier copy of Snug never takes effect.
- Items have vanished. Press the reveal shortcut (⌥⌘S unless you changed it). It reveals everything that is tucked away.
- Snug’s own icon is gone. Open Snug again from Applications and its Settings window appears. Turn off Hide Snug’s menu bar icon in General.
- The trial has ended. Snug stops hiding when the trial ends. Choose Enter License Key… from Snug’s menu.
A new Mac
A license covers every Mac signed in to your Apple ID. Install Snug on the new one and enter the same key in Settings, then License. Moving to a different Apple ID? Click Release License… in that pane first, then activate the same key under the other Apple ID.
A lost license key
Put the email you used at checkout into Find My License and the key is sent again. If it does not arrive, write to support@snug.menu from that address.
The newest version
Snug checks once a day by itself, and its menu says when a new version is out. To check now, open Settings, then About, and click Check Now. The release notes say what changed.
Refunds
Within 14 days of purchase, no reason needed. How to ask is on the Refund Policy page.
Removing Snug
Choose Quit Snug from its menu, drag Snug from Applications to the Trash, and delete ~/Library/Application Support/Snug, which holds everything it kept. You can also remove its entry from Privacy & Security, then Accessibility.
